Nicole Cumiford Elder began her dance training in 1994 at Elite Dance Studio in Albuquerque. She continued with Mann Dance Academy in 2001, where she danced the role of Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and San Juan College in 2002. At Dance4Him studio (2002-2010), she taught classes and danced featured roles in The Dream, A Love Story, by God, The Devil’s Last Dance, and A Tale of Two Roads. In 2004 and 2009, Nicole was selected by San Juan College to dance in the prestigious Young Artist Recital. More recently, she modeled for Algy Dance Costumes and competed nationally, where she earned three platinum awards for her solos. Nicole trained with the Ballet Repertory Theatre of New Mexico where she worked with the director, Katherine Giese and with Ballet Master, Alex Ossadnik. She starred in BRT’s The Nutcracker in the Spanish Variation, Pierrot Doll, Snowflake, and Flower and also in BRT’s Alice in Wonderland as a Chess Piece and Waltz Couple. She has also worked with Ballet Mistress, Beth Griffin, Director, Cheri Costales, and Artist Robbie Rodriguez. Nicole has choreographed award winning ballet pieces for dance competitions and enjoys teaching ballet technique in the Four Corners area. She has been teaching as the ballet instructor at AnnMarie’s Dance Academy since 2018 and she is looking forward to this next season. Nicole married Caleb Elder in 2014 and has three daughters.
